Dear President Biden, Leah refused to renounce her faith. She paid the price: with her freedom. She was one of 110 girls abducted from their school in Dapchi, Nigeria by the Boko Haram offshoot ISWAP in February 2018. The next month, following negotiations by the government, the remaining girls were put into trucks to go home. But Leah wasn’t among them. She wasn’t released because she refused to convert in exchange for her freedom. We need to keep up the pressure until Leah is free. Please engage with the Nigerian government to ensure the release of 18-year-old Leah Sharibu, the remaining Chibok Girls and all others held captive by terrorists and other armed groups.
