SING FOR FREEDOM
Date: OCTOBER 12 - NOVEMBER 7, 2021
Sing for Freedom was created to spread awareness about injustices against religious freedom around the world.
Through the power of song, we raise our voices against the injustice and persecution of those who are committed to their faith.
This year’s campaign focuses on Leah Sharibu. In February 2018, when Leah was fourteen years old, she was abducted by Boko Haram’s offshoot ISWAP along with 110 girls of her classmates. The next month, Leah’s classmates were all released except for Leah. Because she refused to deny her faith she is still being held as a “slave for life” by ISWAP.
Leah is not alone.
Terrorists in Nigeria systemically target schools to forcibly abduct vulnerable school children. We raise our voices for the Chibok girls, the children of Bethel Baptist, and so many more who have been abducted in Nigeria over the years.
Join us as we lift our voices in solidarity to protect children in Nigeria."
